Wigan have told Hugo Rodallega they want his future resolved before the transfer window opens in January.

The £15million-rated striker is wanted by Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus and his current deal runs out next summer.

But the Colombian, 26, is dragging his heels with Wigan looking like relegation candidates and clubs prepared to snap him up at the end of the season for free.

Wigan chief executive Jonathan Jackson wants Rodallega’s future sorted out in the next six weeks. ‘We want it resolved before the January window.

Hugo’s still assessing his options but we hope he will stay.’

Wigan are monitoring Manchester United striker Federico Macheda, 20, with a view to a possible loan in January.
