Brazilian star Everton Ribeiro says he could be the perfect solution to Manchester United’s lack of midfield creativity.

Ribeiro, who has just helped Cruzeiro to be crowned champions of Brazil, has sent a “come and get me” plea to United manager David Moyes.Cruzeiro have confirmed United’s interest while Ribeiro’s agent claims talks have already opened ahead of a £15 million move in the January transfer window.

Ribeiro, 24, believes he would adapt quickly to the English game and feels he already knows some of the United players from playing computer games in which they feature.

He said: “I would fit in any part of the midfield. I would do well as a playmaker to support the attack. It would be great to play alongside Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

“I feel I am ready to play in any part of the world. If you play for Cruzeiro, you can play in any place.

“I already watch the Premier League games. To join them is the dream of any player.

“United have Rooney, Shinji Kagawa, and David de Gea. I know them well because I play with them a lot in video games.“When you play it day after day you get to know the players even better.

“There is always speculation after a great performance in a competition, but I am still a Cruzeiro player. I’ll rest a lot, enjoy the holidays with my family and return fully charged in January.

“I will let my agent and Cruzeiro handle the negotiations. When they feel it’s good for both parties, they will let me know. I’ll see and we’ll analyse everything.”

If United go ahead with the deal, they will hope Ribeiro makes more of an impact than two other Brazilian midfield signings made by former boss Sir Alex Ferguson – Kleberson and Anderson.
