Manchester City are braced to lose Kolo Toure as mega-rich Anzhi Makhachkala ramp up their bid to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Anzhi are keen to take the former Arsenal defender on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

The Russian transfer window closes on February 24, and according to the Daily Mirror, Anzhi would give City a substantial fee as part of the loan deal.

Toure, who signed for City in the summer of 2009, has starred for the Ivory Coast in their run to the last four of the Africa Cup of Nations.

In contrast, City have endured a troubled patch since Toure’s departure, with Saturday’s 3-0 win over Fulham only their second in their last seven games.
