After winning for a tenth successive game away from home, in Marseille on Wednesday, Arsenal return to the Emirates amd Midfielder Mikel Arteta could return to the squad for the first time this season after a thigh injury.

Santi Cazorla remains sidelined, so record signing Mesut Özil is set for his home debut following his club-record £42 million arrival from Real Madrid.

Czech playmaker Tomas Rosicky is also still out, along with France Under-21 forward Yaya Sanogo, German forward Lukas Podolski and longer-term absentees Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby.

Midfielder Charlie Adam has been Stoke’s only injury concern ahead of Sunday’s game.

The Scotland international needed stitches in a cut after a training ground incident but the Potters expect him to be fit to feature at the Emirates Stadium.

Midfielder Stephen Ireland and forward Mark Arnautovic, who made their debuts off the bench against Manchester City last week, are pushing for first starts.
