Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has to decide whether to stick with a winning team for the visit of West Ham.

He made three changes for the Luis Suárez-inspired 5-1 midweek demolition of Norwich and that trio of Daniel Agger, Joe Allen and Philippe Coutinho will expect to retain their places.

Striker Daniel Sturridge will be sidelined until the new year with an ankle sprain.
West Ham, meanwhile, will be without Ravel Morrison for their Premier League match at Liverpool after the midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the season in midweek.

The 20-year-old was cautioned after the final whistle in Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace and will serve a one-match ban, meaning he will sit out at Anfield.

Former Liverpool forward Andy Carroll is back in training for the Hammers after a long-term heel injury, but is not yet in contention.

Ricardo Vaz Te and Razvan Rat are likely to miss out with George McCartney and Alou Diarra also absent.

Andy Carroll is back in light training at West Ham. The gag on Merseyside is this means the England striker is drinking half pints.

Carroll won’t be around to haunt his former club at Anfield, but a robust defensive performance earned the Hammers a point last season.

Liverpool have been rampant at home and Luis Suárez is on a mission to ensure his club qualifies for the Champions League.

Rumours of a mural on The Kop thanking Sam Allardyce for re-signing Joe Cole are unconfirmed.

Stat of the game: West Ham will not expect much: in 55 visits to Anfield in the league, they have won just three. Their last success there was 50 years ago, in September 1963.
