Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini faces a choice between goalkeepers Joe Hart and Costel Pantilimon for Saturday’s Premier League home clash with Norwich.

Hart has made a series of high-profile blunders and for Wednesday’s 2-0 extra-time Capital One Cup victory at Newcastle the England international was replaced by Pantilimon, City’s regular goalkeeper for domestic cup competitions who is yet to make a Premier League appearance.

Pellegrini has refused to give anything away as to his team selection for Saturday beyond confirming that Vincent Kompany (thigh), Stevan Jovetic (calf) and Javi Garcia will not feature.

Meanwhile, Alexander Tettey is out for “several weeks”, according to Norwich manager Chris Hughton, after the midfielder damaged knee ligaments.

Striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel also misses Saturday’s trip to Manchester City with a foot injury.

Midfield duo Robert Snodgrass and Nathan Redmond are also doubts after their second-half exits in the midweek Capital One Cup defeat at Manchester United.

Manchester City make a welcome a return to the home comforts of the Eithad where they have chalked up four emphatic wins in as many Premier League games.

City need the points against Norwich to keep up with pacesetters Arsenal, although the ground might not hold as much fear for the Canaries who won 3-2 there on the final day of last season.

However, Chris Hughton’s men have struggled so far in this campaign and managed just one victory in their last six league outings.
