Manchester United manager David Moyes expects to have Robin van Persie and Tom Cleverley available for the Premier League encounter with West Brom.

Van Persie has missed the last two games with a groin injury, while Cleverley was ruled out of the midweek Capital One Cup win over Liverpool with a knee problem.

Marouane Fellaini returns to Moyes’ squad after being cup-tied.

Meanwhile, West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob should be available for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Yacob should feature having recovered from a dead leg, and Albion head coach Steve Clarke is hopeful forwards Victor Anichebe (ankle) and Nicolas Anelka, who has an unspecified knock, will be able to take part.

Chris Brunt is expected to be missing for a third successive game, though, and the match will definitely come too soon for Matej Vydra, Zoltan Gera and George Thorne, while Ben Foster remains sidelined.

Much has changed since these two teams played out a 5-5 draw at The Hawthorns on the final day of last season.

United have lost Sir Alex Ferguson and Paul Scholes, but it could be argued that West Brom are suffering more for the departure of Romelu Lukaku following his loan spell from Chelsea.

Without the Belgian forward, West Brom lack goals and points are proving hard to come by.

So a trip to Old Trafford, having endured extra-time against Arsenal in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, is probably the last thing Steve Clarke’s team need.

Stat of the game: United have conceded 11 goals in their last six league games, one more than they had in their previous 18. The last time these teams met it finished 5-5.
