Danny Rose and Younes Kaboul are set to miss Tottenham’s Barclays Premier League clash with Hull.

The pair on the verge of a return after toe and adductor complaints respectively, but Andre Villas-Boas does not expect to have them for Sunday’s return to domestic action.

Etienne Capoue is also likely to miss out, while Zeki Fryers is a doubt after limping off in the first-half of Thursday’s Europa League victory at Sheriff Tiraspol. Kyle Walker, Andros Townsend and Paulinho will return to the fold, having been rested for the trip to the Moldovan champions.

Hull are facing a raft of injury problems ahead of their Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Allan McGregor (thigh) and striker Danny Graham (knee) have both been consigned to the sidelines following last week’s defeat at Everton, while manager Steve Bruce is also expecting bad news on Sone Aluko (calf) and Robbie Brady (hernia).

With James Chester (hamstring) and Robert Koren (foot) still unavailable and Jake Livermore unable to face his parent club, Bruce will be forced to call on a handful of back-up players.

Not a straightforward home win by any means. Hull won at Newcastle and could have nicked a point at Everton and Manchester City. They play quick, direct football based on ceaseless movement, with the overlapping runs of Ahmed Elmohamady on the right their most potent threat. Midfield duo Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone will have the inside scoop on the Tottenham dressing room, having moved from there in the summer.
