Liverpool owner John W Henry has conceded that the club could move away from Anfield.

The Reds had been considering a new stadium during the ill-fated reign of Tom Hicks and George Gillett, but the takeover brought with it some talk of a redevelopment of their current home.

But recent reports had pointed towards the opposite, and the Merseysiders could now allegedly still move to Stanley Park.

Henry maintained that the first option remains a redevelopment of Anfield, but he also insisted that a move could take place depending on circumstances.

“Anfield would certainly be our first choice,” wrote on his Twitter page.

“But realities may dictate otherwise. So many obstacles…”
