Defender Gael Givet is again Blackburn’s only doubt ahead of their clash with United.

Givet aggravated a slight hamstring problem while warming up during Rovers’ victory over Sunderland earlier this month and is recovering slower than anticipated.

Boss Steve Kean has named the same side for the previous three matches, wins over Sunderland and Wolves and last weekend’s 2-1 defeat by Bolton.

Rio Ferdinand will be fit for United’s clash in Lancashire.

Ferdinand had to be replaced during this week’s win over over Fulham with a back problem but Sir Alex Ferguson feels the prompt action will ensure his most experienced defender is fit for the Ewood Park encounter.

Nani (ankle) is still sidelined, along with long-term absentees Michael Owen, Anders Lindegaard, Anderson, Nemanja Vidic and Darren Fletcher.
