The Trotters return to action a week after Fabrice Muamba’s harrowing collapse at White Hart Lane.

Muamba remains in intensive care after suffering a cardiac arrest, but his family have given the green light for the game to go ahead as Owen Coyle’s men looked to haul themselves out of the Premier League bottom three.

Coyle has told any player who does not feel up to taking part they should step aside, but it does not appear he has had any takers.

Defender Gael Givet is Blackburn’s only doubt.

Givet aggravated a slight hamstring problem while warming up during Rovers’ victory over Sunderland on Tuesday and is touch and go to make the squad.

Boss Steve Kean has named the same side for the previous two matches against Sunderland and Wolves, both of which resulted in 2-0 wins, and could well stick with that line-up again.

Bolton (from): Bogdan, Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Wheater, Boyata, Knight, Ream, Ricketts, Reo-Coker, Mark Davies, Pratley, Klasnic, Miyaichi, Ngog, Petrov, Eagles, Tuncay, Kevin Davies, Sordell.

Rovers (from): Robinson, Orr, Dann, Givet, Hanley, Lowe, Martin Olsson, Pedersen, Petrovic, Nzonzi, Hoilett, Dunn, Yakubu, Formica, Modeste, Goodwillie, Marcus Olsson, Rochina, Vukcevic, Henley, Bunn.
