Charlie Adam produced some magic when it really mattered to keep Blackpool’s survival hopes alive with a dramatic victory at Bloomfield Road.

After just one win in 16 Premier League matches, Blackpool knew that only a victory would do with a trip to Manchester United to come next week.

And they produced a performance that was a throw-back to the start of the season, out-scoring Owen Coyle’s Bolton side to come away with a precious win.

Kevin Davies prodded Bolton ahead after just five minutes only for DJ Campbell to pull the hosts level within four minutes.

Jason Puncheon took advantage of more slack defending to find the bottom corner from just outside the area only for Matt Taylor to seize on poor Neal Eardley’s poor clearance to produce a scruffy shot that just had enough power to beat Matt Gilks.

Just the interval, Campbell glanced in from a whipped Adam cross to send the hosts in with a half-time lead but fine vision from Davies allowed Chung-Yong Lee to cross for Daniel Sturridge to head in from a couple of yards out.

But just after the hour Adam broke from half way and fed Taylor-Fletcher, collecting the return pass to curl in from just outside the area.
