David Moyes will buy ‘FIVE more Matas’ as David Moyes begins the biggest overhaul of Manchester United’s squad in the past 20 years, the Sunday Times are claiming.

According to the newspaper, the Glazer family accept that despite landing Mata, the club are still “at the bottom of the mountain” with regards to transforming the club.

Moyes will face a transfer tug of war for Southampton starlet Luke Shaw, who the club want £30million for.

The Independent believe Moyes has submitted a £22million bid for the defender as scouts eye Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan.

But reports suggest Shaw and Gundogan are part of a huge shortlist of names being drawn up by Old Trafford scouts that includes Bayern Munich’s Tony Kroos.

Other names in the hat for Moyes include Koke, Mario Mandzukic, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Marko Reus and Fredy Guarin.

The Sunday Times report also claims Manchester United could be in for a shock bid for Liverpool right back Glen Johnson.

It was reported that the Anfield club have offered the defender a new contract – but only if he accepts a drop in wages.
