Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic firmly believes he made the right decision in deciding to stay at the Britannia in the summer.

The highly-rated Bosnian shot stopper was linked with a cluster of top clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United but snubbed their offers.

“I’m happy because I stayed at Stoke City,” he told Spanish publication Mundo.

“I feel great here and I love my football here, but I can’t hide the fact that it was nice to be linked with so many big clubs.”

Begovic however hasn’t ruled out a move in the future.

He added: “The interest motivates me even more and I would really like to become an even better goalkeeper.

“I’m a very ambitious guy but then again, I’m pleased with the club where I’m currently playing.”

Begovic’s Bosnia side are currently topping Group G of their World Cup qualifying table.
