goncalo-guedes-benficaChelsea are considering a double swoop on Benfica after being impressed by Goncalo Guedes and Talisca.

The Blues are desperate to inject some urgency into their side and would hope to do deals in January but may be forced to wait until the summer.

The duo have been scouted throughout the season despite Benfica’s difficulties.

And the Evening Standard report they are getting ready to make their move.

Benfica sit fourth in the Primeira Liga, eight points behind leaders Sporting.

Chelsea, however, are in free-fall after their seventh defeat of the Premier League season.

The Blues are 16th, 13 points below the top four and three points above the relegation zone.

Chelsea are desperate to land a new striker in January with Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao all struggling.
