Ruben-Neves-PortoChelsea are preparing a £29million move for Porto midfielder Ruben Neves, according to reports.

The 18-year-old featured in Porto’s 2-1 victory over Jose Mourinho’s side in the Champions League this week.

And according to the Evening Standard, the Blues are now looking to bring the youngster to Stamford Bridge next summer.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have reportedly been keeping tabs on the Portuguese ace with Chelsea sending scouts to watch Neves play in Portugal.

The £29million release clause in his contract is making Chelsea cautious over whether to sign him however.

The Portugal Under 21 international made 31 appearances for Porto in all competitions last season, scoring one goal.

Mourinho’s men take on Southampton today (5.30pm) at home hoping to bounce back from their midweek defeat.

The Blues are still without Diego Costa – who serves the last of his three-match suspension – as Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao battle it out for a place in the starting XI.
