Jose-Mourinho-Chelsea1Monaco have approached under-fire Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho about becoming their manager, according to one of the French side’s shareholders.

Mourinho is under huge pressure at Chelsea after a dismal start to the season, with the Blues currently sitting 15th in the Premier League table following their controversial 2-1 defeat against West Ham.

The Portuguese manager was sent to the stands in the loss and was charged with misconduct by the FA following the defeat.

Mourinho could be banned from the dugout for Chelsea’s crucial clash with Liverpool on Saturday, meaning he will only be able to communicate with his bench via a runner or the phone.

And according to a report in Spanish newspaper Sport, Monaco shareholder Alessandro Proto revealed the Ligue 1 side are ready to offer him an exit route from his nightmare at Stamford Bridge.

“On Saturday night the first contact was made with Jose Mourinho about training Monaco,” he said in a statment.

“We are still in a very early stage but we are convinced that Mourinho could train Monaco.”
