Southampton have agreed a £10million fee with Celtic for Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The Saints are among a number of clubs interested in Waynama – including Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter Milan – and there are now likely to be a number of rival bids for him.

The 21-year-old has become one of Celtic’s top players since joining the Scottish champions from Belgian club Beerschot for just £900,000 two years ago.

But Wanyama only has one year left on his contract and Celtic know they have little choice but to accept a hefty profit and let him leave.
