Manchester-United-Cristiano-RonaldoCristiano Ronaldo is ‘on track’ to be join Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao at Manchester United next summer.

Reports in Spain suggest that super agent Jorge Mendes has already made up his mind that three of his biggest clients will be plying their trade together at Old Trafford in the future.

Mendes orchestrated James Rodriguez’s move to Real earlier this summer but has since invoked the ire of the Spanish giant’s president Florentino Perez.

Perez was unhappy that Mendes allowed Di Maria to publish an open letter seemingly criticising Real upon leaving for Manchester United and then bristled when asked why he had failed to sign Falcao.

Indeed, Perez responded to that question by saying: “If we had signed Falcao, we may as well have made Mendes president.”

Now there are suggestions that Mendes’ actions may be the result of a carefully plan to get Ronaldo back to United next summer.

The Manchester outfit are believed to have set aside £55m to fund a move for their former player, who himself has spoken of his desire to return “one day”.

Increasingly, it looks as though Mendes is laying the groundwork to ensure that that move comes sooner rather than later.
