Mesut-Ozil-ArsenalFascinating reports coming out of Italy suggest that Serie A champions Juventus are targeting Arsenal’s German midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Having seen both Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo leave Turin and manager Massimiliano Allegri resigned to losing sought after midfielder Paul Pogba, Juventus are hoping to prise Mest Ozil away from Arsenal ahead of next season.

Juve recently announced the signing of former Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira who is incidentally very close friends with fellow German Ozil, a factor the Italians are hoping could tempt Arsenal’s record transfer signing.

The revelation comes as front page news on Italian publication Tuttosport who believe Ozil, who was signed by Arsenal in a £42.5m deal in 2013, could be available for a significantly lesser fee of £29million.

Meanwhile Arsene Wenger is preparing to offer Ozil an alternative by assuring the German World Cup winner a position in his preferred No 10 role, building his team around the playmaker.
