Juventus' midfielder of Chile Arturo ViJuventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has agreed a switch to Manchester United.

According to reports in the player’s homeland, the player, who starred for Chile at the World Cup in Brazil, told his agent Fernando Felicevich of his interest in joining United who has made tentative contact with the club.

This latest development follows reports in Italy yesterday that Felicevich met with Juventus top brass to discuss the 27-year-old’s future.

The most important item on the agenda of the meeting was United’s proposal.

The Red Devils are willing to pay the Old Lady in the region of £48m for the ex-Leverkusen midfielder and offer him up to £200,000-a-week.

That deal is more than double his current contract with the Italian side and an offer which the club cannot match.
