Manchester City face competition from Barcelona for Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini is understood to have targeted Argentina international Caballero, 32, as his first choice replacement for Costel Pantilimon, who is leaving as a free agent at the end of his contract.Barcelona, having lost Victor Valdes and Jose Manuel Pinto on free transfers, are also keen and their interest could spike City, as Caballero said: “I don’t know if the speculation will come true, but it is an honour and makes me proud to be linked with Barca.”
