Barcelona are preparing a summer swoop for Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov, according to reports.

Starsport claims that City coach Roberto Mancini is facing an open revolt from exhausted players following the club’s defeat to Swansea on Sunday, which saw them lose their lead in the Premier League.

Senior players were said to be angered at being forced to remain in Portugal to train in the heat following the club’s Europa League tie with Sporting Lisbon.

The squad then flew directly to Cardiff and stayed in Wales on the eve of the Swansea game.

The deteriorating mood within the camp is claimed to have alerted Barcelona, withStarsport claiming Pep Guardiola is ready to test City’s resolve with a £12m bid for Kolarov – before making big money offers for David Silva and Sergio Aguero.
