Liverpool striker Luis Suarez remains determined to leave Anfield and believes a £42million deal to replace Bernabeu boo-boy Karim Benzema could be secured in the January transfer window.

Suarez has returned to the Liverpool set-up effectively after serving his 10-match ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.

But the Uruguayan still wants to quit the Reds and seal a dream move to Real Madrid.

And with Madrid fans baying for Benzema’s head due to his poor form in front of goal this season, Suarez could be set to replace him in the Spanish capital.

Benzema has four goals in nine games for Real this term, but has not found the net on his last four outings.

Reports in Portugal suggest a deal could be done to bring Suarez to Madrid for a fee of around £42million.

And with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho targeting Benzema to solve his own striking worries, the two hitman swapping leagues is a possibility.

However, Liverpool remain adamant that Suarez will not be sold and have no attention of fielding bids for him in January.
