Manchester Cityare the latest club linked with a move for unsettled Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas.

Reports in Spain suggest that Manuel Pellegrini is monitoring the situation after Casillas was once again left on the bench as Real took on Granada on Monday.

Hart’s form at City this season has been called into question after the latest in a series of blunders contributed to Cardiff’s shock 3-2 victory over the Citizens on Sunday.

Pellegrini has long insisted that he will pick his side on form rather than reputation and it was thought that the Chilean could drop Hart in favour of Romania international Costel Pantilimon for the upcoming match against Hull.

A move for Casillas would escalate the situation significantly, however, with Casillas unwilling to contemplate a move without some reassurances about being first choice and Hart unlikely to accept a long-term role as a substitute.

According to Marca Casillas is considering his future in Madrid as he seeks to hold onto his spot as Spain’s number one keeper ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

Arsenal have been linked with a host of goalkeepers this offseason with Arsene Wenger thought to be ready to replace the inconsistent v, and Casillas would seem to fit the bill perfectly.

But whether Wenger would be any more able to guarantee a first-team spot for 32-year-old Casillas than his counterpart at Manchester City remains to be seen.
