Manchester United winger Nani has revealed his ambition to play for Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.

Nani insists he is happy at United but his future has been the subject of speculation since he slipped down the Old Trafford pecking order.

Fit-again Antonio Valencia is ahead of Nani, Ashley Young is set to arrive from Aston Villa while manager Sir Alex Ferguson has also been heavily linked with Wesley Sneijder, Samir Nasri and Alexis Sanchez.

Nani was left out of the starting XI for last month’s Champions League final and has been attracting attention from Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan.

The 24-year-old Portugal international, who arrived from sporting Lisbon in 2007, said: ‘I am fine at Manchester United, but it is good to hear there are other clubs interested.

‘Would I like to work under Mourinho? Yes, but at this moment I am fine at Manchester United.

‘I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth after not being a starter in the Champions League final.

‘I was hoping to play from the start, but it is up to the coach to decide. ‘But it was a very positive season for Manchester United and my best individual campaign.’

Nani scored 10 goals in all competitions for United and led the way in in assists after a superb first half of the campaign.
