pedro-iniesta-super-cup-barcelonaPedro has agreed a move to Manchester United, according to reports in Spain.

Newspaper El Confidencial claim the Spain hitman, 28, has said goodbye to his Barcelona team-mates ahead of his Old Trafford switch.

United need to complete the paperwork by noon today for him to be available to face Aston Villa tomorrow.

But with a fee still needing to be agreed with Barcelona, a move is still days away from completion.

Pedro was far from happy following his omission from the Super Cup starting line-up – as well suggestions he is a mercenary.

The striker later came off the bench to net the winner in a 5-4 victory.

He said: “It’s a difficult situation for me. I don’t want to go but it’s a question of playing time, of continuity in the team, and it’s been this way for a few years now.

“Of course I wanted to play in the final. “The truth is that I had a good chance to play. The coach has decided not to count on me.

“I don’t know if I will continue here.”

Responding to Fernandez’s dismissive comments, Pedro said: “Robert should not have said what he said. I have barely exchanged words. He doesn’t know what I’m going through.

“And this is not about money. It’s a lack of respect towards me to say that it is. It’s about me playing. I’m ambitious.”
