Real Madrid could make a monster bid for Liverpool hit man Luis Suarez this summer, that is according to Ramon Calderon.
The Uruguayan has been linked with a £70million switch to Real after a superlative season at Anfield. The La Liga giants are weighing up whether or not to upgrade on Karim Benzema, who hit 17 goals last season.
And former Real president Calderon believes Los Blancos could flex their financial muscle again in the window.
“Karim Benzema is a good player but it’s true he didn’t score as many goals as people thought [he should],” he told talkSPORT.
“Luis Suarez, no doubt, is one of the best players in the world and he’s had a fantastic season with Liverpool, so you never know [if Real Madrid will bid for him].“With Real Madrid you can expect anything.”
Suarez plundered 31 goals for Liverpool in the Premier League last term.
