Manchester United could let up to three players leave Old Trafford this summer in order to get their hands on Atletico Madrid star Miranda.
Louis Van Gaal is planning a major revamp of his squad in the summer although his sole focus at present is with Holland and the World Cup.Indeed, Van Gaal has prioritised bringing in a defender after the Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand axis was split up this summer.
Miranda has been on his radar, and the centre back, who was a key component of Atleti’s title-winning charge, confirmed his agent has received offers for him and said: “I have some offers and we are negotiating.
“I have offers from Spanish and English leagues and from some less important ones too.
“My agent is in Europe to decide my future, my buy-out fee at Atletico Madrid is €30m (£24m), but that can be negotiated.”Reports in Spain indicate United are prepared to offer the Brazilian a four-year deal and wouldn’t mind letting Nani, Javier Hernandez or Anderson leave to push through a deal.
Whatever happens, United fans can expect a busy summer of transfer activity.
