Three more European teams have joined the race to sign Ajax Cape Town forward Thulani Serero, following a successful trial at Ajax Amsterdam.

Serero, along with fellow Urban Warrior Clayton Daniels, have been in the Netherlands over the past week where they were undergoing trials with Ajax Amsterdam.

Ajax have revealed on their official website that they’re eager to add Serero to their squad. The talented Bafana starlet has been on trial at Ajax twice so far and it seems he did enough to convince Ajax of his qualities and they’re now ready to open talks with club and player.

According to KickOff.com, two teams from Belgium and another one from Germany have also submitted offers that could prove difficult to turn down.

“The team from Belgium has put a mouth-watering offer of around R20-million for Serero and Ajax Cape Town are said to be considering it,” a source revealed.

Urban Warriors CEO George Comitis has confirmed the latest offers for the Bafana Bafana star saying, “Yes, it’s true that there is big interest from both Germany and Belgium in Thulani, but Ajax [Amsterdam] are top of the list. I can’t say much more as I am still negotiating.”

Serero and Daniels were back in South Africa yesterday in time to start preparing for the crucial League match against AmaZulu on Friday. It is unclear whether Daniels is being considered to join the Dutch giants in future, but the note on their official website said that he impressed at his trial.
