Bafana Bafana have improved in the latest FIFA rankings, moving up one spot from 66th to 65th, the Soccer-Laduma website reports.

Since the start of year, Bafana have plunged 11 places in the rankings from 54th in January to their current 65th position.

On the continent, South Africa are in 14th spot, while the Ivory Coast still remain the highest ranked African nation in the world rankings, at 21st.

Spain still sit at the summit of the rankings with Germany in second, Portugal third, 2014 Soccer World Cup hosts Brazil in fourth, Colombia fifth, Uruguay sixth, Argentina seventh, Switzerland eighth, Italy ninth and Greece rounding out the top 10 teams in the world.

CAF’s top 5 consist of leaders Ivory Coast, followed by Egypt in second spot, Algeria in third, Ghana in fourth, and the Cape Verde Islands wrapping up the top five in Africa.
