Bryce Moon is due to leave Greek giants Panathinaikos in the next 24 hours and may sign for SuperSport United.

Moon spent the previous campaign at Golden Arrows, starting eight League matches and scoring five goals, including a hattrick in Arrows’ 3-2 win over Amazulu on May 7, 2011 after recovering from a knee injury, which put paid to him playing more for Abafana Bes’thende.

After his loan spell at Arrows, Moon returned to Greece but it appears he has been deemed surplus to requirements as his representatives and Panathinaikos are negotiating a settlement for the remainder of his contract.

Moon’s business manager Mike Makaab told KickOff.com of Moon’s pending departure from Panathinaikos.

“With Bryce, we are trying to finalise a settlement agreement with Panathinaikos in Greece and we hope to try to do a short term deal for him in South Africa with the intention of him going back to Europe if he does well,” Makaab revealed.

Recent reports linked the 25-year-old utility player with a move back to his old club Ajax Cape Town, but according to a credible Kickoff source, Moon is on his way to SuperSport United.

Makaab, though, has declined to comment on the rumour.

“Look, there has been quite a lot of interest in Bryce, but the problem is we can’t do anything until we finalise the settlement with Panathinaikos. I’m confident that within the next 24 hours we would be able to do that and hopefully put some finality to a deal in South Africa.

“He did well for Panathinaikos during pre-season, scoring two goals for them and it is important that we get him to play as quickly as possible,” Makaab added.
