Kaizer Chiefs striker Nkosinathi Nhleko is definitely headed for the exit door at Naturena during the January transfer window with the only hurdle standing ahead of his departure being whether he leaves on loan or permanently.

Nhleko’s contract with Chiefs is up at the end of June and SuperSport United have already shown interest.

The 31 year-old has fallen way down the pecking order at Chiefs with Sthembiso Ngcobo being the preferred choice in partnering Zimbabwean hotshot Knowledge Musona.

Apparently Chiefs have already made it known that they are willing to release Nhleko to a club where he will be able to get game time. However the only hindrance at the moment is how Nhleko gets out of Chiefs.

A loan move might be the easy way out but word is that the Nhleko’s handlers are believed to favour a permanent move.

Nhleko – capped 10 times for Bafana Bafana – joined Chiefs in June 2009 after a stint with Thanda Royal Zulu during which he had picked up lots of weight that he has now shed off while at Chiefs.
