Chelsea could offload Fernando Torres to AC Milan in a stunning swap deal with Robinho or Alexandre Pato, according to reports in Italy.

Torres has scored just once since signing from Liverpool for £50million in January and is struggling to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge.

Milan missed out on Torres when he left Atletico Madrid for Liverpool in 2007 but are long-term admirers and are ready to offer one-time Chelsea target and Manchester City flop Robinho in exchange.

But the Blues are said to be more interested in Brazil striker Pato, scorer for the Rossoneri in the Nou Camp this week, according to Italian television station Sportmediaset, owned by Silvio Berlusconi.

Robinho opted to snub Chelsea in 2008 and join City instead from Real Madrid for £32.5m, but was sold to Milan after a troubled spell at Eastlands for just £15m last year.
