AC Milan are poised to offer £6million for QPR midfield misfit Adel Taarabt after his impressive start to his loan spell in Italy.

The Morocco international was released from his season loan at Fulham last month but has responded with two goals in three Serie A games.

He scored one and set up the other in Milan’s 2-0 win over Sampdoria on Sunday which, following a 1-0 win over Bologna last week, was Milan’s first back to back victory of the season.

Afterwards coach Clarence Seedorf said: ‘Taarabt did very well.

‘I am satisfied with how he has been performing since his transfer. His versatility adds a lot to the team. He can play in all three positions behind the striker.’

QPR are ready to sell Taarabt, 24, in the summer and, if he continues to impress, Milan will be first in the queue.

Agent Vincenzo Morabito, who helped mediate in Taarabt’s surprise loan move, told Italian media: ‘I really think Taarabt will be purchased, even if the last word is Milan’s.

‘Adriano Galliani should be given credit for believing in Taarabt.

‘I expected he would do well, but his start has been amazing; I’ve been surprised especially by his physical condition, it’s really excellent.

‘Milan will decide, but I think he’ll be bought.’
