Italy hero Andrea Pirlo could be set for a move to the Premier League next summer, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham on standby.

Pirlo’s contract at Serie A champions Juventus expires at the end of the season, when he could be allowed to leave on a free transfer.

If the 34-year-old does not get a new deal in Turin, he could move abroad to England or Spain.

David Moyes’ admission that he needs “to bring in players not for the squad but one or two to go right into the team” may see United hunt the world-class Pirlo.

But according to reports, United could be joined by Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs should he become available.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte will assess in the coming months whether or not to hand the Italian veteran a contract extension.

But the Old Lady could decide to allow Pirlo to leave for free, like AC Milan did in 2011.

The playmaker remains a regular for club and country, helping Juventus win the league in the past two seasons since departing Milan.

And Pirlo impressed England fans while guiding Italy to Euro 2012 triumph against the Three Lions.
