QPR have reportedly made an offer for £4m-rated former Liverpool striker Djibril Cissé.

The striker has struggled to settle at Lazio and is said to be keen on a return to the Barclays Premier League.

Cissé had an injury-plagued time at Anfield and left for Marseille in 2006.

He also spent a short loan spell at Sunderland before joining Panathinaikos and then Lazio.

QPR transfers advisor, Gianni Di Marzio, said: “Cisse is a good player, maybe he hasn’t settled in Rome because they have Klose [playing in the same position].

“He hasn’t done very well in Rome but he has proved to be a top goal scorer in the past.

“If he comes to QPR, we will welcome him with open arms.”
