Premier League target Miralem Pjanic has revealed he is open to a future move away from Roma, but wants to remain at the club through the January window.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has opened the season in fantastic form for Roma, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham increasing their interest in the midfielder.

The 23-year-old is well aware of the transfer talk, but is prepared to rebuff any approach for his services after declaring he will not be looking to leave the Serie A outfit in January.

“I won’t exclude the possibility of one day playing elsewhere, but I doubt this will happen soon,” he said.

“It certainly won’t be in January, which is what some people have said, and certainly not in the next year and a half either.”

Unbeaten Roma, who top of the Serie A, are reportedly readying a new four-year contract for Pjanic worth £2.5million a season, despite his contract expiring in 18 months’ time.Pjanic will be a key player for Bosnia next summer in the World Cup in Brazil, having already scored three goals in his nation’s successful group stage.

United, City and Spurs will continue to monitor the progress of the £20million-valued midfielder, who has helped his side to the top of Serie A with three goals in 12 appearances this term.
