federico-bernardeschi-fiorentinaManchester United have set their sights on Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi as they look to bring the flair back to Old Trafford.

United, however, will have to battle Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for the £20million-rated Italian, according to the Sun.

Bernardeschi, 22, has a contract until 2019 with the Florence side, but having lit up Serie A this season will have his pick of clubs.

The Italy under-21 international has helped Paulo Sousa’s side into third ahead of the run-in.

They currently sit six points off leaders Juventus and two ahead of fourth-placed Roma in the race for the Champions League.

But Bernardeschi’s performances looks set to take him away from the Viola this season and he’s even been linked with a move to Barcelona.

And team-mate Davide Astori believes he’s good enough to shine at the Nou Camp.

“He’s going to be [good enough for Barcelona],” Astori said.

“We were joking with him about it yesterday, asking him to say ‘hi’ to [Lionel] Messi from us.

“He’s got talent and the right head on his shoulders and he’s improving gradually.

“He could make history with Fiorentina, though, and I hope he sticks with us for a while.”
