vidic-inter-milanManchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Nemanja Vidic.

Vidic, who left Old Trafford at the end of last season, is currently plying his trade in Italy with Inter Milan.

Since his move to Milan, the Serbian, 33, has struggled to settle in Roberto Mancini’s side and has only made 15 appearances for the Nerazzurri.

Vidic’s failure to hold down a place in the starting 11 at the Giuseppe Meazza has prompted a host of Europe’s top clubs to look at the former Red Star Belgrade ace.

And his agent, Silvano Martina, has given those teams a huge boost by hinting that his client could leave Milan at the end of the season.

“He’s fine,” Martina told Fc-Inter.net.

“Inter are a great club, and any player would be happy to wear the Nerazzurri shirt.

“Will he be at Inter next season? I’m not a magician, I can’t see the future.”

Martina’s comments regarding Vidic’s future will be music to the ears of Manchester United.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly a big admirer of the dominating centre-back and is understood to be interested in luring him back to the Theatre of Dreams this summer.
